Major League Baseball’s Best Active Players – Career Pitching
Posted by Vin Getz
As promised yesterday, in the top active hitters, here are the top active pitchers in the game, careerwise.
Who appears again and again?
Mariano Rivera, for one, reigning over starters in ERA and WHIP. Technically Rivera is still active, and has made it known he wants to come back from his ACL injury.
New York Starters Johan Santana and CC Sabathia make their presence known here as well, along with Roy Halladay and Tim Lincecum.
And Jamie Moyer, oldest man in baseball, takes the cake for wins and strikeouts.
Take a look at those hurlers and a good handful more amongst the top five active pitchers in each of the major pitching statistical categories. Bit long in the tooth, most of these fellas.
Have a great Memorial Day weekend and remember those who gave their lives to protect our freedoms.
