MLB: Greatest Home Franchises in Baseball History (Best All Time Home Records)

The Yankees: Best Home Team of All Time

The Yankees: Best Home Team of All Time

The ol’ Yankees are at it again.  They’re the best home team of all time.

Those Giants and Dodgers, who both had their origins in New York, represent  as well.

And of course serious baseball towns like Boston and St. Louis help round out the top five home franchises in terms of W-L percentage.

Then, you have a couple gimmick teams. The Houston Astros had the Astrodome, the first domed and artificially-turfed baseball field.  The Colorado Rockies play in the thin air of Coors Field, where they keep the baseballs in giant humidors.

The San Diego Padres are the only franchise that loses more at home than wins. Now that’s a damper.

Thanks to baseball-reference’s play index.
