The Once-Great New York Islanders Have the Best Stanley Cup Record of Any Team With At Least 5 Appearances

NHL teams have been vying for the Stanley Cup since 1918.  Between 1918 and 1926, there were multiple professional leagues in the mix for the championship.  In 1927, the Stanley Cup Finals became the domain of only NHL teams as other leagues dissolved or merged.

There have been 92 Finals since 1918,  the year we are beginning with for this post.  The 1919 Finals were cancelled due to a flu epidemic. The 2005 Finals were cancelled due to a lockout.

Here are the records of every NHL team that has ever made an appearance in the Stanley Cup Finals.
