NHL Goalies: Every Team’s All-Time Saves Leader
Posted by Vin Getz
Martin Brodeur, long-time (like 21-season long) New Jersey Devil goalie is of course that franchise’s all-time saves leader. He’s the all-time NHL leader, recording 28,776 of his 28,928 blocked shots with the Devils. No other goalie has had as many saves with a single team.
The No. 2 NHL career saves leader, Patrick Roy, holds two teams’ records: the hallowed Montreal Canadiens and the much more recent Colorado Avalanche. Roy also won two Stanley Cups apiece for those teams (Brodeuer won three for the Devils).
Roberto Luongo, the once-and-again-current Florida Panthers‘ goalie is one of five active team leaders, below (*). He actually has a chance at catching Brodeur’s league record – about 6,000 saves behind at “only” age 35.
What about some franchise offensive leaders? Check out Every Team’s Career Points and Goals Leader.
